Anny K - Bio

Not unlike the Cleopatra of her era, Anny K completely surrounds herself with luxurious and lavish items that complete the mind, body and also the soul.

As a young child, the family left the elegant neighborhoods of Cairo, Egypt and moved to the centre of Canada. Life was established in Montreal and Anny adapted very early on and soon thereafter became a connoisseur of all things chic and elegant!!!

Here career began after her graduation from Concordia University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts, Major in Journalism and Communications Degree. Her first big career break came as a researcher at CFCF TV News (now CTV). After her stint in TV news, she flung herself into the world of beauty and fashion when she became the Director, Advertising and Public Relations at Paul Mitchell Haircare Systems for several years. Shortly thereafter she joined Chanel as the Executive Director, Public Relations and Fashion Promotion where she spearheaded many successes from fundraising events to red carpet runways.

During her tenure at CHANEL, Anny K opened doors for the company by organizing and arranging grand affairs and hosting dinner parties and suites for all the celebrities attending the TORONTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL.

Her experience as a fundraiser has benefited organizations such as the Vancouver Opera, Calgary Symphony, Toronto's Mount Sinai hospital, the National Ballet of Canada and the largest cancer-related fundraiser and major social event in Montreal, the annual Daffodil Ball. Her work for On-Rock Ministries providing foodbank services to the under-privileged is underway and she has additional plans to get on board with SMILETRAIN, which provides operations for children born with cleft-palates in third world countries.

After many years of meeting and greeting the A'listers, including President Clinton, the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson to name a few, it is no surprise that she is now pursuing another one of her passions. Anny K has just launched her first foray in the Tea Industry.

As with all things organic, her teas have a special something that takes the palate on a synergistic ride of health and wellness. Considered to be the HERB of life…teas have over the years come in many flavors, colors, all the while providing various holistic effects. Teas are a natural way to balance the body and mind. The tinctures are endless, however the tea plant itself originates from one variety: the Camellia Sinensis. Anny K's newest venture TEA SECRETS will soon be available online at www.teasecrets.com in fine restaurants, cafes and tearooms this Fall.

Not only will she be launching her newest indulgence, Anny K will be moving shortly into her new home with her husband and two children and has plans to renovate, in a major way, with all the style and flair that she has finessed over the years. We look forward to seeing Anny K at the next big event on her own terms.
